Intel Duo

Dell has always been known for producing solid laptops. Being in the market for a new laptop a few months ago, I made some research and found that the E6400 is a machine that will be useful. The Dell Latitude E6400 replaces the popular Dell D630, which also had the opportunity to work with. Be happy with the D630, I felt that the E6400 would be a good option for me.
After spending several days trying to configure my laptop with the Dell sales team, who finally made good and sent me my machine. After opening the box I was very pleased see my new computer and elegant. The matte black finish makes it a machine with a very good condition.
I turned the computer and I was pleasantly surprised to see the backlight of the keyboard action. This was an upgrade of $ 50, but let me you say it is really worth. I write this review right now in the dark without any problem what ever.
After a few minutes admiring my new computer, I noticed the top right corner of the keyboard is different from the rest of the keyboard. I thought it was odd, but thought it was just the way it was designed. After analyzing the team a little more, I realized that the right speaker grille was a hole. Almost like a driver flathead screws was upon him.
These are small things I could be facing time so I kept going about my business and put my new laptop at work.
Something tells me that the keyboard was broken, because almost seemed that there were a number stuck. I want to work on something and just as often, something would happen randomly screen. Even installed a key logger to try to discover what the issue was and what was key to the origin of issue.
After seeing the records in the recorder, I saw the Ctrl key was being pressed several times causing shortcuts keyboard. Of course, I thought it was a key issue so that the laptop apart and removed the keyboard. After looking at the keyboard for a while, I realized that the idiot who put the keyboard on the laptop and is stuck on why the upper left of the keyboard seemed bent. All the top right of the keyboard slope and dug up so that he recovers as best I could and He returned to the laptop.
The keyboard still seems today and I tried. In the same issue – it was acting on the CTRL. After some more troubleshooting, I learned Touchpad that was causing the problem. Apparently, there is a function on the touchpad to make a zoom in and out that emulates the Ctrl key and press + and -. Every Once my finger was on the left of the touchpad, causing the CTRL to participate so I disabled this function and everything was fine.
I thought from the laptop is under warranty that I would receive a new keyboard and the right speaker grill. At least Dell is good about sending replacement parts. They next day.
The system is still unstable. Constantly examine files in the viewer of the event management console to see what could be the cause of my distress. The DVD recorder also quality and kept crashing my system and I ordered from Dell. After just rebuilt and a new DVD unit, my system finally not working as it should.
So I took a moment to get this computer running like it should. Dell has developed a solid machine, my only gripe is the inability to Dell to get it right the first time …. again … for the third time ….
The Dell Latitude E6400 is a solid, well built machine that looks and works very well. The backlit keyboard is a nice touch and the base (action) display is good for everyday use. Keyboard keys are resilient and feel pleasant to the touch. There are 4 USB ports (2 left and 2 right). A USB port is coupled port E-SATA is welcome! There is a VGA port on the left along the HDMI port on the back. The right of the machine has a FireWire port is a port of the chip machine. The screen is difficult and you need 2 hands to open the laptop that is an impression of solidity Nice. The touchpad works well and the buttons are easy to grow. I have the webcam option that works well for video conferencing. There are, of course, a network port on the back and the jack standard microphones and earphones right.
In general, it's really a great laptop and would recommend it to others. Only when you are tired and make sure the machine everything works on it. Make sure there is a gap in the machine because some recruits from the factory fell to the ground.
